All else being equal, its the battery volts and the prop size that determine how many amps the motor will draw, so you need to ensure that theyre not too big to overload the motor and ESC.
2.4 Rc Transmitters And Receivers Upgrade The RestI would like to upgrade the rest of the components to build a plane with but the original ESC ( Model 002496 ) was designed for controlling the two motors of the helicopter only. The receiver is six channel with the battery connector which is not used in this configuration (see attachment).2.4 Rc Transmitters And Receivers Full Functions WithCan I use another brand of ESC with this transmitter or can I use a different receiver and ESC combination with this TX I would like to build a plane with full functions with this TX if at all possible.
I just do not know about using different brands of components together at this stage of my knowledge of RC stuff. Any suggestions on this and or suggestions on where to look for RC information for newbies would very helpful and appreciated. If it ends up being too much trouble trying to make your transmitterreceiver work for a plane, you can get new transmitters ( with receiver ) for as little as 26 plus shipping. Compatible receivers, FIVE for less than 30 shipped to the USA. I must agree that I need a better TX and Rx to achieve my goal of building a good fully functional Hydroplane. May I assume that servos then are basically useable with most any receivers as I have six of them that came with the ESKY ET6 Transmitter I already purchased. And then how about the ESCs Do they have to be the same brand or match any particular specifications to be compatible I am looking to save as much money on this project as I can but I do want a craft that flies well and is capable of doing some aerobatic flying. I have seen a little bit about aileronelevator mixing or in other words elevons. I already have a T6 Tarantula quad that I am modifying and I hope that some of the digital TXs such as the FlySky i6 can be setup to fly the quad as well but that is not a high priority for me right now as I have already bought an upgrade to the quads Tx. So I might take a serious look at the Hobbyking TX that was previously suggested due to its price and that the Rx is included in that price. The brand new FlySky i6 from HobbyPartz comes with a receiver, but if eventually you want more than one plane, that receiver linked will work for additional planesquadcopters. ESCs need to be a match to the motor, brushless ESC for brushless motor, etc. And the ESC needs to be able to deliver the AMP draw of the motor - if the max amp draw of the motor is 8 amps, then get an ESC thats rated for more than that - like 10 or 12 amps. ![]() All those specs are usually listed on the web page for a motor, ESC, etc.
